Card Shufflers

No matter how many times you’ve played poker no one likes to shuffle cards, because it kills a lot of playing time and it just plain sucks.  What if you could literally reduce your shuffling time by 50%?  Imagine all the extra hands you’ll be able to play during your home poker tournament with a card shuffler.  An automatic card shuffler is so affordable and easy to use that anyone that can do it.  You can now feel like your at a casino when you throw in your plastic playing cards inside and let card shuffler do the rest!  How do these card shufflers work you might ask?  It’s fairly a simple process, all you need is some batteries to power the motor that spins the rubber wheel inside.

There are two sides of a poker card shuffler where you place the cards in.  When you’re ready to shuffle, you only need to cut the deck in the middle once and place each of the half decks into the each side of the poker card shuffler.  Once the card decks are nicely aligned inside each end of the shuffler, you want to make sure it lies nice and flat on your card table.  Once it’s on a secure, flat surface there should be a button that will start the motor to shuffle both half decks together.

What’s happening is the rubber wheel is spinning and catching the bottom card on each deck, but it’s rotating at a speed that is shuffling the cards on top of each other.  When the card shuffler is done, you will see you deck in the middle that has been shuffled once.  You can repeat this process as much as you want until you feel comfortable dealing them out.

Depending on how fast you want to shuffle, there are some poker books that will tell you to use two decks for your poker game.  Here’s how you use two decks of playing cards to speed things up faster:

  • As you are dealing cards out to people, have the next  dealer in line to start shuffling the second deck for himself
  • When the hand is over, the next dealer will deal his cards, and the following person will re-shuffle the cards that were previously dealt

As you can see, there is no downtime when you use this strategy!  Remember, the more games you get to play with a playing card shuffler, the more chances you get to win the jackpot:
